Second Chance Challenge

Everybody deserves a second chance, right? In my book, that includes Sims too. That is why I am making my December gallery challenge the Second Chance Challenge.

Have you ever uploaded a Sim to the Gallery and they didn’t get the attention that you thought they deserved? That is what the Second Chance Challenge is all about.

Go through your Gallery catalog and find a Sim that you think deserves more love than it has already received. Then just re-upload them to the Gallery. That’s really all that is required to enter.

If you want to make some changes, go-ahead and make them. Sometimes second chances call for new haircuts or wardrobes. Whatever you think is best for them.

I have a boatload of Sims in my catalog that barely have any downloads or likes. I’m okay with that. I’m pretty prolific in terms of how many Sims I create and upload. Not all of them can be hits. Creating characters in CAS is what I love most about the game so I am doing it for my own enjoyment anyway.

When it became time to select which of those many Sims deserved a second chance, it wasn’t easy. I must have almost gone with about a dozen. Eventually though, I landed on Ellie Cash.

Second Chance Challenge

If I am honest, I don’t even really remember what my motivation for creating her was in the first place. Sometimes, I just go into CAS, hit ‘random’ on all the pre-set features and then challenge myself to make something out of the results.

I think that is what happened with Ellie. I can’t think of much else to explain why I went with that haircut. It is one of my least used in the game. It is just really difficult for most Sims to pull off.

Ellie totally makes it work though. I love that she rocks a harder edge look than you might expect from somebody with such delicate features.

She has the musical genius aspiration but you can just tell she’s the type of gal that spends as much time dancing the night away in a club as she does reading sheet music.
